Sam Proctor was born and raised in a small town in West Virginia. Sam received a Civil Engineering Degree while playing football at Fairmont State University. It was during this time that Sam gained experience in the construction industry while he worked as a Construction Inspector for the West Virginia Department of Highways. After graduation, he continued his career with the Dick Corporation, where he served as a Project Engineer in their Heavy Highway Department. From there, Sam made leap into the fast-paced, high-demand environment of industrial construction, working at Powell Construction, a design/build company. It was there that Sam learned the importance of cultivating one-on-one client relationships, providing service in a timely manner, and ensuring only the highest quality of product.

Sam credits his past working experience with providing him the drive, determination and fortitude to start his own business. Sam is proud to say that project coordination, strong communication skills, and a unyielding work ethic are attributes that define him. Sam models Veritas Contracting after good, old-fashioned values--deliver a great product, on-time. Sam credits his team for his success. Owning and running a successful and thriving company could not be possible without the support and hard-work of the Veritas team, and the working relationships with their sub contractors.

Sam currently resides in Morgantown with his lovely wife and three children.

About Dan McClain

Dan McClain has been a managing member of Veritas Contracting, LLC since 2003. Dan graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, and has an extensive background in construction and engineering, with nearly 35 years of experience.

Bringing his deep, diverse knowledge of the industry and practical know-how to each project, Dan offers much to this company. Dan McClain is currently the President of McClain & Co., Inc., as well as the Trinity Construction Group, Inc., both located in Culpeper, Virginia.
